Maharashtra News:Coronavirus is spreading rapidly in Maharashtra. On Thursday, 117 new cases of corona were registered in the state. The number of active cases of Corona in the state has crossed 300. There is also news of death of a Corona infected patient within 24 hours. However, 12 patients have been discharged from the hospital.
According to the state health department, thousands of people have been tested on Thursday. 12,416 people were tested in the state, out of which 2243 RT-PCR tests and 10173 RAT tests were done. Today the positivity rate was 0.94 percent. So far, 10 cases of JN.1 have been registered in the state. The good thing is that no new cases have been registered today.
Mumbai has the highest number of active cases
17 cases have been registered in the state from 1 to 7 December, 19 from 8 to 14 December, 53 from 15 to 21 December and 373 from 22 to 28 December. As of December 28, 369 active cases have been confirmed in the state. Of these, most active cases have been reported in Mumbai, Pune and Thane. Currently there are 127 active cases in Mumbai, 74 in Pune and 67 in Thane. According to the government statement, there were 265 active cases in Maharashtra till December 27. While 232 of them were in home isolation and 33 were admitted to the hospital. Of these, 23 are admitted in non-ICU and 10 in ICU. On the other hand, the Maharashtra government has also formed a new task force under the leadership of the former Chief of ICMR to prevent the spread of Corona.
Recovery rate in the state is more than 98 percent
Since March 2020, 8,75,93,205 samples have been tested in laboratories in the state, out of which 81,72,404 have been found positive. At the same time, 80,23,468 people have been discharged so far. The recovery rate in the state is 98.18 percent. The death rate due to corona in the state is 1.81 percent.
